DEPRESSION THERAPY VIRTUALLY IN DALLAS AND THROUGHOUT TEXAS & OREGON: SUPPORT FOR FINDING YOUR WAY BACK WHEN EVERYTHING FEELS HEAVY

If getting through the day takes more out of you than it should — if things you used to care about feel flat, if you’re tired no matter how much you sleep, or if you’ve started quietly wondering what the point is — you’re not lazy, weak, or broken. Depression has a way of convincing you that this is just who you are now. It isn’t.

Depression doesn’t always look like sadness. Sometimes it’s numbness. Sometimes it’s irritability, pulling away from people, or going through the motions while feeling like you’re watching your life from a distance. And for many people, it isn’t just a chemical accident. It grows out of losses that never got acknowledged, years of shrinking yourself to fit someone else’s expectations, or carrying pain no one around you seemed to notice.

I work with people navigating:

  • Persistent low mood, emptiness, or numbness

  • Loss of motivation, energy, or interest in things you used to enjoy

  • Feeling disconnected from yourself, others, or your own life

  • Harsh self-criticism, shame, or feeling like a burden

  • Depression connected to family estrangement, leaving a faith, or hiding who you are

  • Grief or loss that turned into something heavier over time

What we might work on together:

  • Making sense of where the heaviness comes from, not just managing the symptoms

  • Grieving losses that may never have been named, including relationships, identity, belonging, or the life you expected

  • Challenging the inner voice that tells you you’re not enough or don’t deserve better

  • Reconnecting with what matters to you, even when motivation is low

  • Rebuilding small, sustainable routines without shame when they slip

  • Feeling less alone with what you’re carrying

  • Finding meaning and direction when life feels pointless or stuck

  • Learning to treat yourself with the patience you’d give someone you love

How I work:

I’m not going to hand you a gratitude journal and tell you to think positive. Depression usually has a story behind it, and that story deserves to be understood. Depending on what you need, our work might focus on getting to know the parts of you that have shut down or given up and what they’re protecting, processing experiences that still weigh on you, or working through the bigger existential questions depression often raises: what gives your life meaning, what you value, and who you want to be moving forward.

For anyone curious about the clinical side: I draw on Internal Family Systems (IFS), attachment-based and EFT frameworks, CPTSD-informed trauma treatment, and Meaning-Based/existential therapy, and I move between them based on what a session calls for.

You don’t have to show up with energy, answers, or a plan. If all you can say in a session is “I don’t know, I just feel off,” that’s a perfectly good place to start.
