ANXIETY THERAPY VIRTUALLY IN DALLAS AND THROUGHOUT TEXAS & OREGON: SUPPORT FOR QUIETING A MIND THAT NEVER GETS TO REST
If your mind rarely shuts off — replaying conversations, bracing for the next thing to go wrong, scanning everyone’s mood to figure out if you’re okay — you already know how exhausting anxiety can be. From the outside, you might look like you have it together. On the inside, it can feel like you’re always one mistake away from everything falling apart.
For a lot of people, anxiety isn’t random. It was learned. If you grew up walking on eggshells around a parent, in a faith that taught you to fear punishment, or in a family where being yourself didn’t feel safe, your nervous system adapted the best way it could. It learned to stay alert, stay agreeable, and stay one step ahead. That made sense then. It’s just not serving you anymore.
I work with people navigating:
Constant worry, overthinking, and racing thoughts
People-pleasing and difficulty saying no
Perfectionism and fear of failure or criticism
Panic attacks or a body that feels on edge for no clear reason
Social anxiety and fear of being judged or rejected
Anxiety rooted in a difficult family, religious upbringing, or hiding who you are
How I work:
I’m not here to tell you to just “stop worrying” or hand you a list of breathing exercises and send you on your way. Anxiety usually makes sense once we understand where it started. Depending on what you need, our work might focus on getting to know the anxious parts of you and what they’re protecting, processing the experiences that taught your body to stay on guard, or exploring the bigger questions underneath — what you value and what kind of life you want when fear isn’t running the show.
For anyone curious about the clinical side: I draw on Internal Family Systems (IFS), attachment-based and EFT frameworks, CPTSD-informed trauma treatment, and Meaning-Based/existential therapy, and I move between them based on what a session calls for.
You won’t have to justify why something “small” sends you spiraling. If you say “I know it doesn’t make sense, but I still can’t stop thinking about it,” I’ll get it.
What we might work on together:
Understanding where your anxiety came from — and what it’s been trying to protect you from
Calming a nervous system that’s still braced for danger that may no longer be there
Untangling people-pleasing from what you actually want and need
Quieting the inner critic that tells you you’re never doing enough
Setting boundaries without being swallowed by guilt or fear of conflict
Learning to tolerate uncertainty instead of trying to control every outcome
Building trust in yourself and your own decisions
Feeling safe enough to rest, slow down, and just be
