Couples Therapy: Telehealth Sessions for Texas Couples

Every couple hits points where something isn't working, communication breaks down, the same fight keeps happening in different clothes, trust gets damaged, or you just feel like you've drifted into being roommates instead of partners. That doesn't mean the relationship is broken. It usually means something underneath isn't being seen or understood, by either of you, and it's been quietly running the show.

I offer couples therapy through secure telehealth for any couple, regardless of structure, orientation, or relationship style. Sessions are collaborative and direct, focused on figuring out what's actually happening between you, not just managing symptoms of it.

I work with couples navigating:

  • Communication breakdowns and cycles of conflict that keep repeating

  • Trust issues, infidelity, or betrayal recovery

  • Life transitions, a new baby, a move, a career change, that are putting real strain on the relationship

  • Emotional or physical disconnection, growing apart, or feeling more like coparents or roommates than partners

  • Differences in values, expectations, or how you each define the relationship

  • Recurring arguments that never seem to actually resolve anything

What we might work on together:

  • Understanding the pattern underneath the fight, not just the fight itself

  • Identifying what each of you actually needs from the other, and learning to ask for it directly

  • Rebuilding trust after betrayal, at a pace that's honest about how long that actually takes

  • Making space for both people's experience without turning sessions into a courtroom

  • Reconnecting emotionally and physically after a period of distance

  • Navigating a major transition as a team instead of two people managing it separately

  • Figuring out whether you're fighting about the actual issue, or about something older that keeps getting triggered

How I work:

I'm not here to decide who's right. Most couples who end up in therapy aren't actually fighting about the dishes or the schedule, they're fighting about something underneath that keeps getting triggered by the small stuff. My job is to help slow that cycle down enough that you can both see what's actually happening, instead of reacting to each other on autopilot.

That means I'll ask direct questions, name patterns as I see them, and won't just referee back and forth between two people restating their side. Real change in a relationship usually requires each person to look honestly at their own part in the pattern, not just what the other person is doing wrong. I'll push on that when it's useful, for both of you, not just one.

For anyone curious about the clinical side: my primary approach uses elements from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), which is built around understanding the emotional cycles couples get stuck in and helping both partners feel safely connected again. I also draw on Imago Relationship Therapy, systems theory, and CBT where it's useful, along with a fair amount of psychoeducation, helping you understand why a pattern happens, not just that it's happening. I'm also currently pursuing Gottman Method training (Levels 1 and 2), which will expand this work further in the future.
